My dear friend and her two sons drove out yesterday from Denison Texas to visit! We relaxed all day yesterday. Today we went out to have some lunch at Rosa’s Tortilla Factory. All of you that live in Lawton need to try it. It’s yummy and inexpensive. As you know, we don’t have many choices in the Lawton area.

After lunch we went shopping at Walmart. You can cry for me now, we have NO Target in Lawton. It should be a crime!! I’ll attach some pics from our day below.

My dearest friend Dawn has been battling stage 4 breast cancer for 7 years. Bless her heart. My prayers go out to her every day.

I had such a beautiful newborn in my studio today. I could not believe how much she smiled at just one week old. She was so calm. I could have gotten so many photos if only my pocket wizard didn’t break!! I didn’t notice until Mandy, the mother of sweet Braylnn showed up for their session. For those of you who don’t know what that is, it is a product that attaches to my camera to fire my studio lights. So I had to use my small window in my studio for these pics. I have asked her to come back next week when I can get a replacement in.

She is such a sweet baby and her Mom is absolutely wonderful as is her Grandma.

She almost made me want another. Good thing I’m fixed.

On another note, my website is up! I still have quite a bit of work to do, including putting my splash page back up. I finally have some wedding photos on my website. Please visit my new site and let me know what you think!

I’m working on it! I still have many, many hours to put into it. If you view it now it’s a bit messed up but should be fixed by tomorrow. I don’t think the contact section works so if you need to email me please do so directly to contact@jessicahughes.com.

I’ve already started booking for Christmas. This is definitely the busiest time of year. It’s a great time to get portraits made to give as presents, Christmas cards, and get some great portraits for yourself.

I love music. Anyone out there listen to ethel on XM radio? That is the station I am tuned in to whenever I’m driving around.

I’m going to attempt doing a song of the day…video from youtube.com. Have patience with me while I try out new things on my blog. I am learning how to get the best out of it.
