I woke up feeling a bit sad this morning. I’ve missed you dearly. It was one year ago today, on your birthday that we found out you had cancer. We went out to your stepping stones and sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to you this morning. Afterwards poor Kenz felt as though she couldn’t go to school, she was too sad. So she stayed home to celebrate your life with me.
We took Eli to school, went and had some breakfast at Cracker Barrel, along with a few laughs, did some fun shopping in the gift shop, and we’ve been listening to 10,000 Maniac’s "These Are Days" all day.
I took a nap and woke with tears in my eyes only to find this wonderful, beautiful surprise that Mackenzie has made you. She has a heart of gold. I think we both got that from you. Thank you.

Mackenzie: I love you so,so,so,s,so much,and I do wish that you could eat the cake.I love you.
And here is her surprise party for you..my Momma. I love you.
